Initial situation
What bothered Denise most was the position of her upper front teeth. Several teeth were slightly rotated and tilted, making the dental arch appear restless in the visible area.
There was also crowding of the lower front teeth. Some teeth slightly overlapped, making the lower arch appear uneven.
The treatment goal was a harmonious alignment of the upper front teeth and resolution of the crowding in the lower arch to achieve a more even and aesthetically calm smile overall.
Treatment process
The total treatment duration was about 12 months. Each aligner was worn for approximately one week before switching to the next.
The aligners were worn for around 22 hours daily and only removed for eating and dental hygiene. Regular check-up appointments verified that tooth movements were being executed as planned.
Treatment strategy
Denise's treatment was planned with clear aligners. The initial series comprised 14 aligners, used to perform the most important tooth movements.
To further optimize the result, a refinement was carried out afterwards. After an interim check-up, additional aligners are created to precisely correct smaller residual movements.
A minimal interproximal enamel reduction (ASR) was also performed between individual teeth. This created the necessary space to optimally align the teeth and harmoniously close the existing gaps.
Result
After completing treatment, a significantly more harmonious tooth alignment emerged. The front teeth were evenly aligned, rotations were corrected, and the overall smile appeared much calmer and more aesthetic.
A retention phase was scheduled to stabilize the result and secure the achieved alignment long-term.
