Initial situation
Kevin was dissatisfied with the position of his front teeth. In the upper jaw especially, several incisors appeared slightly rotated and tilted out of their ideal axis, making the front teeth appear restless when smiling.
There was also slight crowding in the lower front teeth. Some teeth were slightly offset, so the lower arch did not run completely evenly.
The treatment goal was a harmonious alignment of the front teeth and a more even arch in both upper and lower jaws.
Treatment process
The total treatment duration was about 12 months. Each aligner was worn for approximately one week before switching to the next.
The aligners were worn for around 22 hours daily and only removed for eating and dental hygiene. Regular check-up appointments verified that tooth movements were being executed as planned.
Treatment strategy
Kevin's treatment was planned with clear aligners. The therapy comprised a total of 14 custom-made aligners that performed the required tooth movements step by step.
Digital planning allowed individual tooth rotations to be corrected and the dental arch to be aligned more harmoniously.
A minimal interproximal enamel reduction (ASR) was also performed between individual teeth. This created the necessary space to optimally align the teeth and harmoniously close the existing gaps.
Result
After completing treatment, a significantly more harmonious tooth alignment emerged. The front teeth were evenly aligned, rotations were corrected, and the overall smile appeared much calmer and more aesthetic.
A retention phase was scheduled to stabilize the result and secure the achieved alignment long-term.
